The Objective of the association is to preserve and promote cultural, religious, artistic, and aesthetic unity among the members of the community. The promotion and enhancement of social unity among the members of the Association will be accomplished by, but not limited to, the following:
Organizing cultural performances.
Diverse social and educational projects.
Religious and linguistic endeavors.
Establishing collaborative links with other organizations similar in mission and objectives in the United States and abroad.
Telugu Association of Tucson Arizona (TATA) is a Non Profit Organization established in July 2000. This association is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational and / or scientific purposes under section 501 (C) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code. This also means that all the donations from you to TATA are tax-exempt.
The various weekly and yearly activities carried out by TATA has a major focus on bringing out the talents of young children.  The activities also serve as a means to educate about Indian tradition to growing children.

  Weekly Activities
Saturday evening: Many TATA families meet at Udall park on Saturday evenings. They enjoy playing Volley ball, walking, socializing while kids play with swings and sand and enjoy pot luck dinners.
Sunday Telugu School: Many TATA kids go to Telugu School at 10 AM.

  Yearly Activities
Sankranthi: Grand celebration with variety of entertainment (children’s programs and adults play and much more) and ethnic Telugu feast cooked by all the members.
Ugadi: Telugu New year will be celebrated with vepapuvvu pachadi and potluck feast and entertainment.
Yearly Picnic: This is a great outdoor get together. TATA men will be making hot pooris in the park while ladies enjoy eating. Games for children and adults.
Deepavali get together features sweet competition, fireworks.
Muggula Poti celebration.
